CODEX: THE FLYING MONKEYS

Classification: Enforcers & Sentries of the Northbound Road

Flying MonkeyMonkey

1. The Fume Monkey

(Dynamic: Control Reversal, Toxic Fog & Area Denial)
Combat Role

HP / Orientation Hazard.

The Trap

Farts a toxic gas that gaslights you into believing left is right & forwards is backwards: inside the fog your own controls turn on you.

Countermeasure

Clear-Sight Laser (Blue Grass). Pierces through the thick fog, killing the farter & clearing the toxic, poisonous gas.

Field Rule

Re-map your inputs

Stick to your ground or flip your controls when fogged, or your own momentum works against you.

Flying MonkeyMonkey

2. The Shadow Monkey

(Dynamic: Charge Waster, Boundary Breach & Shadow Caster)
Combat Role

Shielding Unit / Flanking Striker / Charge Waster.

Mechanism

Projects two phantom shadows of itself to keep you busy while it breaches the boundary to nullify attacks from behind.

Projections are not real, don't waste your charge; each shadow absorbs one magical charge and still stands. Only the true body takes damage.

Countermeasure

Badger (Green Seeker Fire). Ignores the shadows, seeks the true body & strikes the shadow caster.

Field Rule

Do not defend yourself from attacks or waste magical charge attacking while shadows still stand; find the caster of the shadows & kill it first.

Flying MonkeyMonkey

3. The Mirage Monkey

(Dynamic: Splitter Decoys & Alchemy Magic Leech)
Combat Role

Harasser / Magic Leech.

Mechanism

Splits into three translucent bodies in triangular formation to divide and conquer your fire, draining 0.25 grass charges per second; none of the three are real.

Countermeasure

Ringburst (Amber AoE Ring). 360° expanding shockwave strikes all three nodes simultaneously, collapsing the entire illusion.

Field Rule

Do not waste time fighting battles while they still stand; purge all three illusions in one shot first.

Flying MonkeyMonkey

4. The Mud-Slinger Monkey

(Dynamic: Blocker & Movement Restriction)
Combat Role

HP / Heavy Crowd Control / Glow-up Destroyer.

Mechanism

Runs a smear campaign in mud: hurls heavy, sticky mire that leaves permanent pools on the floor, cutting speed by 70%, completely disabling your dodge & draining HP.

Contact Effect: Stepping into a mud smear applies a 70% movement-speed pin and fully disables the dodge.

Countermeasure

SLIPhearth (Slippery Liquid-Infused Porous Hearth). Frictionless barrier: mud flash-bakes on contact, nothing sticks to the Lamb.

Field Rule

Do not stop and play in the mud; expose it to flash heat at Planck's temperature till the mud & the mud slinger are disintegrated.

Flying MonkeyMonkey

5. The Lambcross Monkey

(Dynamic: Toxic Kindness, Sustained Healing, Magic Blocker & Non-Combatant Screen)
Combat Role

Dedicated Sustained Healer / Neutralizer.

Mechanism

Zero offence; it is the pack's enabler, keeping every flying monkey healed with continuous AoE bursts. Through its toxic kindness towards flying monkeys it neutralizes your magic and self-bandages between cooldowns.

Heals the lowest-HP monkey in range, neutralizes magic and self-bandages between hits, so standard DPS cannot outpace the recovery.

Countermeasure

The Resonant Bleat (>160 dB). Maximum-charge sonic shockwave.

Each grass type burned during the Bleat permanently seals the heal box against that monkey class (25% essence each). A Lamb carrying all four types needs two full Bleats to finish the seal.

Field Rule

It cannot be defeated through standard trade of damage. Break its instrument of peace, or it will heal your executioners forever. Don't believe its kindness; feel free to exploit its neutrality without any guilt.

CODEX: THE SOVEREIGN DIMENSIONS

Classification: Architectural Entities & Sovereign Boss Realms

Sovereign DimensionBoss

1. The Hollow

(Dimensional Physics: Traction Loss, Drifting Inertia, Isolation & Void Margins)
Dimension Core Monkey

Fume

Dimension Rules

The floor is made of frictionless, shifting ice sheets that continuously drift apart upon contact.

Floe Separation: As the sheets separate, trapped dying lambs and the player are pushed onto isolated floes drifting into deep void margins where movement stalls, isolating the player.

The Hazard

The shifting ice prevents standard traction, pulling the Lamb away from fallen companions while the void siphons away active health.

Relic Interactions

The Lodestone: Overcomes the slippery surface physics by acting as a magnetic tether, physically dragging the Lamb across disconnected ice plates directly to the nearest dying lamb to administer aid.

The True Mirror: Confronts the realm of its true empty nature, halting the ice drift and melting the outer crust so direct damage can register.

Field Rule

Do not fight the sliding floor with hooves; wait for your nearest companions to slide to you. Use the magnet to cross the fracture lines to reach the farthest lambs, and raise the mirror to break the frost.

Sovereign DimensionBoss

2. The Martyr

(Dimensional Physics: Pleasant Toxic Atmosphere, Movement Clamp & Defense Reversed into Attack)
Dimension Core Monkey

Lambcross

Dimension Rules

Toxic Atmosphere: Diffused essential oils permeate the chamber, continuously leeching a damage-over-time tick.

The Clamping Web: A room-spanning, elastic tensile web acts as an environmental clamp. Stepping near structural strands locks the Lamb in place, disabling movement & pulling towards Boss.

Defense Reversed into Attack

The Martyr plays the victim: any fire to free yourself from the clamp & toxic air gets snagged by the web's elastic nodes, reverses its velocity vector, and fires right back at the player.

Relic Interactions

The Quill of Truth (The Ledger): As the Lamb survives the reflected volleys, the Quill tallies the exact amount of health stolen by the poisoned air and struggles caught on web.

The Debt Settled: The moment the ledger records the complete historical debt, the web's tension snaps: every reflected projectile held in the strands suddenly reverses direction a second time, slamming into the Martyr all at once.

Field Rule

Don't be kind, don't hold your fire out of fear of being stuck, attack as soon as you get in. Let the ledger log every stolen drop until the web turns all the trapped fire onto the shrine itself.

Sovereign DimensionBoss

3. The Colossus

(Dimensional Physics: Cut Down to Size, Golden Immunity & Plague of Flies)
Dimension Core Monkey

Mud-Slinger

Dimension Rules

Scalar Compression: The gravitational pull and molten gold pools belittle the Lamb, literally: they compress her physical scale.

Hitbox Reduction: With every second spent on the floor, the Lamb’s mass shrinks exponentially. Ammunition projectiles scale down proportionally, reducing damage to zero upon impact against the boss's massive collision hull.

The Hazard

The Colossus does not need to aim; its molten gold releases disease carrying flies, each blow capable of causing a pandemic.

Relic Interactions

The Ashvattha (Inverted Seed): When sown into the gilded floor, the seed inverts the physical laws of the dimension and roots downward from the sky, expanding at an exponential rate.

Downward Growth Field: The inverted tree's downward growth field turns the dimension's law on its head: instead of shrinking, the Lamb grows alongside the trunk, restoring full physical mass, extending projectile hitboxes, and breaking the giant’s immunity.

Field Rule

Do not measure yourself against its size; every second on its gold floor makes you smaller and your fire lighter. Stop trading blows at reduced scale, sow the inverted tree and grow back to lethal proportions before you strike.

Sovereign DimensionBoss

4. The Mad Jester (The Ticking Labyrinth)

(Dimensional Physics: Watching Eyes, Tiptoe Trap & Hurricane Flush)

Classification: The Watching Labyrinth & Wind-Sweep Mechanics

Dimension Core Monkey

Shadow & Mirage

Dimension Rules

State 1: The Open-Eye Stare (Surveillance): The maze makes you walk on eggshells. Eyes snap open on a rigid tick and track all motion. While they are open:

  • A step triggers laser beams from every wall.
  • Firing triggers retaliatory crossfire.
  • Only freezing still is safe here.

State 2: The Eye-Shut Sweep (The Hurricane Flush): The instant the eyes shut, a hurricane rips through the corridors, blowing any lamb caught mid-progress back toward the entrance.

The Trap

Freezing keeps you safe from the laser beams while the eyes are open, but standing still is a fatal trap: if you freeze and linger, the impending hurricane blast flushes you entirely out of the maze.

Relic Interactions

The Black and Red Hat: The Hat makes the Lamb undetectable. When the eyes snap open they cannot find her, so they turn on each other instead.

Field Rule

Freezing feels like safety, but tiptoeing around its eyes only guarantees the wind will throw you back to the start & the beams will kill you on the clock. When the eyes shut, do not wait in a corner; don the Hat and let the eyes turn on each other. Use the lucky clover to find the Hat where you need it.

Sovereign DimensionBoss

5. Lambenstein

(Dimensional Physics: Rising Lava, Borrowed Weapons & Stolen Blueprint)
Dimension Core Monkey

Lambcross

Dimension Rules

Rising Fluid Simulation: The entire dimension functions as a sinking crucible. Liquid lava continuously flows in from outer conduits, filling low ground and raising the death plane.

Thermal Pyres: Flame geysers erupt at intervals from under the floor surface, cutting off walkways and preventing backtracking.

Borrowed Weapons: Identity theft as a weapon: every trick it stole from the other dimensions is live here at once, each one weaker than the original, all of them stacked.

The Hazard

Dying lambs are scattered across the realm about to be submerged by the rising lava tide. If the lava claims these lambs before they are reached, their genetic data is destroyed, permanently corrupting the 3D Printer relic and making self-reconstruction impossible.

Relic Interactions

The 3D Printer & "The Meh" Blueprint: The player must navigate the narrowing pathways, prioritize reaching the dying lambs before the liquid level covers their platforms, and retrieve their essence. Storing their data secures the integrity of the 3D Printer, allowing the Lamb to print her core nature back into existence and open the final gateway before the arena completely submerges.

Field Rule

It wears your face and fights with weapons it stole from everyone else. Do not duel the copy to prove which one of you is real; the floor is on a strict timer. Rescue the lambs from the rising tide, guard your blueprint, and print yourself back before the printer melts.

Field Guide

CODEX: THE AGORA

Classification: Inviolable Sanctuaries & Alchemical Archives

Sanctuary & ArchiveSanctuary

The Agora

Classification: Inviolable Sanctuaries & Alchemical Archives
The Knowledge Forge (Relic Ignition)

Relics brought into the forest are inert or unreachable on their own without the ancient alchemy preserved within the library.

The Agora provides knowledge & alchemy: the enchanted ink for the Ledger, lucky clover, the sacred soil for the Ashvattha seed, the lodestone's magnetic pull, and "The Meh" blueprint.

The Plots

It is the only soil capable of synthesizing dropped creature badges into specialized grass ammunition (Clear-Sight, Badger, Ringburst, SLIPhearth) through the Lamb’s digestion cycle. Plots are also used to grow heartgrass.

Field Rule

Outside the threshold monkeys & bosses dictate the terms. Inside the emerald light, you cannot be touched, accused, or cornered. Step inside to turn enemy badges into ammunition, ignite the relics, and anchor yourself back when things go south.

CODEX: THE ARSENAL OF THE LAMB

Classification: The Cosmic Blacksheep & The Four Instincts

The Sovereign AnomalyCosmic

★. The Cosmic Lamb

(Dynamic: Radical Apathy & Sovereign Instincts)
Combat Role

The Anomaly & Breaker of Dimensions.

Mechanism

Unclassified anomaly. Registers zero ambition, zero fear, and zero exploitable desire on hostile scanning systems. Dimensional copy-engines fail to construct a viable duplicate from the null-motivation signature.

Core Arsenal: Four innate instincts: Bleat, Graze, Chase, Poop, each repurposed by the forest environment into lethal combat functions. No external power source required.

Countermeasure

The Bleat: Sonic shockwave exceeding 160 dB that shatters obstacles and cleanses tactical categories.

The Graze: Endless supply of green lava ammunition fueled by chewing enchanted forest vegetation.

The Chase: Deft agility, dodging strikes, and knowing when a pursuit has run its course.

The Poop: Organic specialized fertilizer that powers the soil of the Agoras to forge the ammunition.

Field Rule

Be curious, unbothered and cosmic. Poop on their attacks, chase the flying monkeys and save a few lambs. Then continue chasing butterflies & eating berries.

Will You Open The Door?

There are doors set into the trees. Each one is shut, and behind each one something has been waiting for a very long time. Only the foolishly brave dare to step inside.
